Manager, Digital & Content

Our heritage is in public relations and brand positioning, but today our programs are an integrated mix of social media and influencer marketing, content development and distribution, media relations and strategic paid media.

The Manager, Digital & Content excels in getting things done, and tracking all the little details that go into successfully managing client programs, campaigns and events. You have strong organizational skills and excel at client management. You’ve developed a knack for creating and managing content calendars, building and managing inbound marketing programs and how to infuse brand messages through all digital communications. You know how to properly write content for specific social media channels, email and web. You have also shown mastery of the inner workings of client management, gaining confidence, delivering against deadlines and management of a team. As a manager of others, you are someone who understands that knowing how to do something well is one thing; how to inspire excellence in others is something else. And, as a manager of junior staff, you lead by example and with excellent communications. You take the initiative to meet with teammates regularly and guide and develop their career growth.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Digital/Content
• Develop and execute an expansion strategy to gain audience, drive website traffic and grow revenue
• Ensure digital strategy is integrated and optimized on all accounts
• Ensure digital strategy & tactics align with account KPIs and integrate with overall brand strategy
• Work with account team to develop email, inbound marketing and digital content strategies that meet ROI (site referrals, consideration, conversion)
• Concept and plan content calendar themes that pull audiences in with a strong understanding of community audiences and strategic content that will deliver against all goals
• Review content calendars and email marketing to ensure ideas, copy and creative is on brand and of highest-quality; proofread and edit documents
• Edit content with brand lens
• Management of paid social media strategies
• Stay abreast of the digital and social landscape and develop new initiatives

Analytics/Reporting
• Optimize current campaigns to increase key performance indicators
• Develop and monitor metrics, and provide in-depth channel reporting to client
• Deep-dive into analytics to uncover strategic insights and what factors contribute to various results
• Ability to create action plans and new strategies based on learnings

Management
• Interact with clients on daily basis as main point of contact
• Present account with professionalism; gain client confidence
• Create presentations of work and articulately present to Client
• Management of junior staff members including on Digital & Content teams including:
• Prioritizing tasks effectively for yourself and your team
• Understanding the needs of different employees and communicating with them in a way that resonates, motivates and gets results

Qualifications
• Experience: 6 – 8 years
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to multi-task

• Highly organized and detail-oriented is a must; multi-tasker is a must
• Proactive and enthusiastic
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Keynote, social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn), Social media management platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite), Google Analytics, Email Marketing Platforms (Sharpspring, Mailchimp)

Location
• Role is currently remote; potential travel required to clients on East Coast in 2021 and beyond


Account Executive, PR & Activation

CBC is looking for an Account Executive, PR & Activation to join our exciting PR team working on accounts in healthcare, tech and the sustainable practices space. The AE is a media relations pro who enjoys and excels in getting things done and tracking all the details that go into successfully managing client programs, campaigns and events. The AE has strong organizational skills and excels at taking tasks off of others’ plates. They have developed a knack for pitching media and know how to build an effective story. They have secured placements for clients in top-tier print, digital, broadcast and podcast outlets. The AE is a highly motivated team player who has the ability to multi-task and be proactive.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact by providing insight and strategic recommendations to client and team, both proactively and reactively, to maintain account momentum and success
  • Write media pitches, press releases, memos and other client documents
  • Develop and sustain relationships with business, trade and consumer press on behalf of clients and agency
  • Pitch target media and secure placements in top-tier outlets across print, digital, broadcast and podcast
  • Actively contribute to media strategy, including consistent development of proactive outreach angles and positioning announcements that generate client coverage
  • Measure and analyze PR results; providing recaps to clients
  • Up to date on industry workings, happenings and media shifts
  • Adhere to deadlines; manage up
  • Work with account team on house programs and client events – including but not limited to: vendor research, coordinating event logistics, on-site execution, media relations
  • Contribute to all team and company efforts, large and small 

Qualifications:

  • Track record of securing coverage in top press outlets
  • Existing strong database of media relationships
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented is a must
  • Healthcare, Tech PR experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cision, Keynote, Zoom, Slack and Google Drive. Knowledge of Adobe and Photoshop is a plus.

Location:

  • Boston, MA or New York City, NY; currently remote work status until 2021; 20% travel expected in post-COVID world.

Senior Account Executive, Digital & Content

The Senior Account Executive on the Digital & Content team excels in getting things done and tracking all the little details that go into successfully managing client programs, campaigns and events. You have strong organizational skills and excel at taking tasks off of others’ plates. You’ve developed a knack for creating content calendars, building and managing Influencer networks and how to infuse brand messages through all digital communications. You know how to properly write content for specific social media channels and various clients. You have also shown mastery of the inner workings of client management, gaining confidence, delivering against deadlines and is a highly motivated team player who has the ability to multi-task and be proactive.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Management

  • Day-to-day client management: inbound and outbound communications to manage all Client correspondence in a timely and professional manner
  • Lead client calls; be a leader on all digital account teams
  • Review client-facing documents for final approval before
  • Manage ongoing Client updates, weekly calls, scheduling, etc.

Digital/Social Media Expertise

  • Stay abreast of the digital and social landscape and develop new initiatives

  • Manage negotiations, contracts, content creation, posting approvals and schedules
  • Analysis of Influencer programs against ROI (site referrals, consideration, conversion)
