Account Executive, PR & Activation

CBC is looking for an Account Executive, PR & Activation to join our exciting PR team working on accounts in the food & beverage and health & wellness spaces.  The AE must be located in the Greater Boston or New York City locations. The AE is a media relations pro who enjoys and excels in getting things done and tracking all the details that go into successfully managing client programs, campaigns and events. The AE has strong organizational skills and excels at taking tasks off of others’ plates. They have developed a knack for pitching media and know how to build an effective story. They have secured placements for clients in top-tier print, digital, broadcast and podcast outlets. The AE is a highly motivated team player who has the ability to multi-task and be proactive.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write creative and interesting media pitches
  • Draft press releases, including quotes on behalf of clients
  • Develop and sustain relationships with press on behalf of clients and agency
  • Pitch target media and secure placements in top-tier outlets across print, digital, broadcast and podcast
  • Brainstorm fresh ideas for PR campaigns
  • Actively contribute to media strategy, including development of proactive pitch angles, media mailer concepts and event ideas
  • Assist in monitoring of media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
  • Measure and analyze PR results, providing detailed recaps to clients
  • Stay up to date on industry workings, happenings and media shifts
  • Attend client and industry events (must be fully vaccinated to attend)
  • Work with PR team on CBC HOUSE programs and client events – including but not limited to: vendor research, coordinating event logistics, on-site
  • execution, media relations, recapping
  • Manage and mentor Account Coordinator and interns
  • Contribute to all team and company efforts, large and small

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE LOCATED IN EITHER GREATER BOSTON, MA or NEW YORK, NY AREAS
  • Track record of securing coverage in top press outlets
  • Existing database of media relationships
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented is a must
  • Adhere to deadlines; manage up
  • Health, Wellness, Food & Beverage brand PR experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cision, Keynote, Zoom, Slack and Google Drive. Knowledge of Adobe, Traackr, CreatorIQ, Canva and
  • Photoshop is a plus.

Senior Manager, PR & Activation

CBC is looking for a Sr. PR Manager to join our exciting lifestyle consumer team working on accounts and programs in the food & beverage and health & wellness spaces. The Sr. Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of our clients’ PR strategies to support the achievement of its business goals. The Sr. Manager will develop strong relationships and partner with individuals internally and externally to drive 360 PR programs to enhance clients’ brand positioning and drive consumer recognition. This person will report to the Sr. Director and VP level staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Sr. Director in building client PR strategies, driving all PR initiatives
  • Strategize, ideate, pitch and secure national and regional media coverage across key print,
    digital, podcast and broadcast outlets
  • Support and drive the development of media-genic partnerships
  • Partner with team on planning and execution of all client events and CBC House programs
  • Measure and analyze PR results, report findings to clients and applying insights to future strategies
    and plans
  • Liaise directly with clients and manage day to day account activity
  • Position client spokespersons as experts, securing interviews, profiles, and client features in national
    outlets
  • Manage and mentor junior team to ensure timely deliverables for clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of relevant PR experience, agency experience a plus
  • Health & wellness, food & beverage PR experience preferred
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, ownership, and accountability
  • Ability to work efficiently and creatively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, deadline driven
    environment

Account Coordinator, PR & Activation

CBC is looking for an Account Coordinator, PR & Activation to join our exciting lifestyle consumer team working on accounts in the food & beverage and health & wellness spaces. The AC must be located in the Greater Boston or New York City locations. The AC excels in getting things done and tracking all the details that go into successfully supporting client programs, campaigns and events. The AC has strong organizational skills and excels at taking tasks off of others’ plates. They have developed a knack for pitching media and know how to garner coverage. They have secured placements for clients in top-tier print, digital, broadcast and podcast outlets. They have supported the planning and management of client events – i.e., press previews, launch events and press trips. The AC is a highly motivated team player who has the ability to multi-task and be proactive.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for the PR & Activation team (i.e., creating agendas, call recaps)
  • Compile and circulate daily brand monitoring alerts with press hits and industry news
  • Develop and sustain media relationships with consumer press on behalf of clients and agency
  • Support the creation of a pitching strategy and tracking grid for clients through detailed research
  • Pitch target media and secure placements in top-tier outlets across print, digital, broadcast and podcast
  • Manage and compile press clippings and reporting – weeklies, monthlies, quarterlies
  • Research, conceptualize and pack mailers and press activation boxes
  • Manage sample trafficking, maintaining up-to-date sample tracker
  • Support the measurement and analysis of PR results and metrics to apply to future strategies and plans
  • Up to date on industry workings, happenings and media shifts
